REFERRAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW. The WorkMade Referral Program ("Program") allows eligible users to earn credits toward their tax payments by referring new subscribers to WorkMade. By participating in the Program, you agree to these Referral Program Terms, which supplement and are incorporated into the WorkMade Terms of Service.
The WorkMade Referral Program rewards existing users ("Referrers") who successfully refer new customers ("Referred Users") to subscribe to WorkMade's services. Referrers earn a $150 credit toward their next quarterly tax payment for each Referred User who completes a qualifying subscription.
To participate as a Referrer, you must: (a) be a current WorkMade subscriber in good standing with an active paid subscription; (b) be at least 18 years of age; (c) reside in the United States; (d) have a valid WorkMade account; and (e) comply with these Referral Program Terms and the WorkMade Terms of Service.
A Referred User qualifies for the Program if they: (a) are a new customer who has never previously subscribed to WorkMade; (b) sign up for a paid WorkMade subscription using the Referrer's unique referral link; (c) complete the 7-day free trial period and maintain an active paid subscription for at least 90 consecutive days from their subscription start date; and (d) do not cancel, request a refund, or have their account suspended or terminated during the 90-day qualifying period.
The following referrals are not eligible for credits: (a) self-referrals or referrals to accounts controlled by the Referrer or members of the Referrer's household; (b) referrals to existing or former WorkMade customers; (c) referrals made through unauthorized channels, spam, or deceptive practices; (d) referrals that violate any applicable laws or regulations; or (e) referrals where the Referred User's subscription is canceled, refunded, or terminated before completing the 90-day qualifying period.
For each qualifying referral, the Referrer will receive a $150 credit toward their next quarterly tax payment processed through WorkMade. Credits are issued in U.S. dollars and have no cash value. To be eligible for credit application, the Referrer must have their books completed and maintained by WorkMade.
Credits are issued 90 days after the Referred User's paid subscription start date, provided the Referred User maintains an active, paid subscription in good standing throughout the entire 90-day period. WorkMade will notify the Referrer via email or in-app notification when a credit has been issued.
Credits are automatically applied to the Referrer's account and will be used toward the Referrer's next eligible quarterly tax payment, specifically the 2025 Quarter 4 tax payment (or the next applicable quarterly payment if earned after Q4 2025). Credits will be applied up to the full amount of the Referrer's tax balance due for that quarter. Credits cannot exceed the tax balance owed and any unused portion of the credit will not roll over to future tax payments. Credits cannot be applied to WorkMade subscription fees, LLC formation fees, or other non-tax charges.
(a) No Cash Value: Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to another account, or sold. (b) Non-Transferable: Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the Referrer who earned them. (c) No Rollover: Credits that exceed the Referrer's quarterly tax balance will not roll over or carry forward to subsequent tax payments. Each credit applies only to the specific quarterly payment for which it is issued. (d) Expiration: Credits do not expire as long as the Referrer maintains an active WorkMade subscription and has their books completed by WorkMade. If the Referrer cancels their subscription or discontinues WorkMade bookkeeping services, any unused credits will be forfeited. (e) Maximum Credits: WorkMade reserves the right to impose reasonable limits on the total number of credits that can be earned or used within a given period.
WorkMade reserves the right to revoke credits if: (a) the Referred User cancels their subscription, requests a refund, or has their account suspended or terminated within the 90-day qualifying period or thereafter; (b) the referral is determined to be fraudulent, in violation of these terms, or made through prohibited methods; (c) the Referrer's account is suspended, terminated, or found to be in violation of the WorkMade Terms of Service; or (d) WorkMade determines, in its sole discretion, that the referral does not qualify under these terms.
Each Referrer will receive a unique referral link upon signing up for WorkMade. This link must be used by Referred Users to ensure proper tracking and credit attribution. Referrers are responsible for sharing their unique link and may not modify, obscure, or misrepresent the link.
Referrals are tracked through the unique referral link and associated cookies or tracking mechanisms. WorkMade uses industry-standard attribution methods to ensure accurate tracking. In the event of a tracking dispute, WorkMade's determination of attribution shall be final and binding.
WorkMade will provide Referrers with notifications regarding the status of their referrals, including when a Referred User signs up, completes the qualifying period, and when credits are issued. These notifications may be provided via email, in-app notifications, or through the Referrer's account dashboard.
Referrers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and may not engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate disqualification from the Program, forfeiture of all earned credits, suspension or termination of the Referrer's WorkMade account, and potential legal action.
Referral credits may constitute taxable income under applicable federal, state, or local tax laws. Referrers are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on credits received through the Program. WorkMade may issue IRS Form 1099-MISC or other required tax forms if the total value of credits earned in a calendar year meets or exceeds applicable reporting thresholds. Referrers should consult with a qualified tax professional regarding their specific tax obligations.
WorkMade reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program, or any aspect thereof, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. Modifications may include changes to credit amounts, eligibility requirements, qualifying periods, or other Program terms. Material changes will be communicated to active Referrers via email or in-app notification.
If the Program is terminated, Referrers will retain any credits earned prior to the termination date, subject to the terms in effect at the time the credits were earned. Pending referrals (i.e., Referred Users who have not yet completed the 90-day qualifying period) may be honored at WorkMade's sole discretion.
THE REFERRAL PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WORKMADE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WORKMADE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT REFERRALS WILL RESULT IN CREDITS OR THAT CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED WITHIN ANY SPECIFIC TIMEFRAME.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORKMADE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE REFERRAL PROGRAM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST CREDITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. WORKMADE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE REFERRAL PROGRAM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL VALUE OF CREDITS EARNED BY THE REFERRER IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Referral Program shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in the WorkMade Terms of Service, including the binding arbitration and class action waiver provisions. Referrers agree that WorkMade's determination of eligibility, credit amounts, and Program compliance shall be final and binding, except as may be required by applicable law.
These Referral Program Terms, together with the WorkMade Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between Referrers and WorkMade regarding the Referral Program and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings.
If any provision of these Referral Program Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
These Referral Program Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflicts of law principles, and applicable federal law.
