This page explains, for reference, how WorkMade Technologies, Inc. ("WorkMade") handles consents required under Internal Revenue Code section 7216 for the use and disclosure of your tax return information.

Federal law requires this consent form be provided to you. Unless authorized by law, we cannot use your tax return information for purposes other than the preparation of your tax estimates and provision of the Service, or disclose your tax return information to third parties, without your consent. If you consent to the disclosure of your tax return information, federal law may not protect that information from further use or distribution.

1. How These Consents Work

Important: This page is informational. A section 7216 consent is only valid if you sign and date a separate, specific consent before the use or disclosure occurs. WorkMade presents these consents to you individually in the product. We do not rely on this page, the Terms of Service, or the Privacy Policy as your consent.

You are not required to sign any consent for a non-preparation purpose. If you do not sign, we will still provide your tax estimates and the cost of the Service will not change. Each consent identifies the specific information involved, the specific purpose, and any specific recipient, and is valid for the period stated in it (and no longer than one year unless you specify otherwise).

2. When We Ask for Your Consent

We will ask for your separate, signed consent before, for example: using your tax return information for any purpose beyond preparing your estimates and providing the Service; disclosing your tax return information to a specific third party (each recipient is named in the consent you sign); or using your tax return information to develop or improve our products, including AI models, in any identifiable form. We will not do any of these without the applicable signed consent.

3. Your Choices and How to Reach Us

Consenting is your choice, and you may decline without affecting your tax estimates or the price you pay. You can withdraw a consent going forward by contacting legal@workmade.com, though we cannot undo uses or disclosures already made. If you believe your tax return information has been used or disclosed improperly, you may contact the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) by telephone at 1-800-366-4484, or by email at complaints@tigta.treasury.gov.
